1. Audio adventure

Since I’m quite a visual person (go figure), it’s sometimes hard to find visually interesting things, but this audio experience, combined with a bit of history and minimal visuals was really a blast.

2. Back to the future

Yes, you have to find the right client for this. But you also have to be ready (and sometimes create that client, but a different discussion). And these guys were definitely ready! This is motion work, btw.

3. Illustration utopias

It reminded me of Magritte, but contemporary. And with a bit more social commentary that lies beneath the fluffy, positive, perfect utopian illustrations. Really cool!

4. The occasional freedom of packaging

Lately, I’ve been more attentive to packaging design and discovered there seems to be more freedom in approach and execution than in other design areas that seem more… not conservative, but somewhat more predictable. And that’s especially true if you are a certain amazing studio from Denmark.

5. Algorithms being interesting

It’s rare that I see something beautiful and with sense made with AI. But this is definitely something like that: a real-time pose detection that creates an interesting, playful, and different expression.
